Covid 19 news

Good Morning Everyone!
I  have been fielding multiple calls/emails about this league, that league, this orgainization, that travel ball team, this District, that Little League team in Idaho etc.  They're starting practice and games and picnics and potato sack races on May 24, why for the love of GOD can't we start? Do you think it's OK for us to start?
There is a lot of jibber jabber about, everybody knows somebody who told two friends, and my neighbor said his cousin knows the janitor at the statehouse............................
I have given my recommendation to District One leagues based on Little League guidelines, the state directive/straight from the Governor's mouth, and their communication about violations of the Executive Order if participating prior to June 14.
My recommendation has not changed, will not change, June 14th for practices, and games.  Your board meetings fall  under group gatherings and do not apply to June 14th.
As I have stated numerous times, and THIS will NOT change, you need to do what you and your board deem is BEST for your WHOLE league, follow Little League, State, County, and local guidelines for social distancing and gatherings, and move forward appropriately from there.
Thanks everyone, I get it, the venting is coming out, frustration because everyone's Little League world is upside down.
Hang in there, your young players will appreciate the opportunity even if the adults do not grasp the severity and gravity of he task your league is undertaking.
